The Sorcerer is a powerful magician, wielding the elements of Fire and Lightning to destroy their enemies.
Sorcerers are always welcome in dungeons and raids thanks to their powerful arsenal of AoE Spells, and can excel in solo play if built correctly to take advantage of their large mana pool and mana shield spell.
In the early levels Sorcerers can be fairly squishy, before you have access to sustainable mana regeneration and have to rely on hit and run tactics, but are capable of dealing great damage very early on.

Suggested stat distributions for focusing on Damage:
1) Arcane Being a spell caster, the Sorcerer relies heavily on spells. Arcane increases the damage dealt by all spells by 0.5% per point.
2) Runemastery Effects the damage dealt by all attack runes, including your powerful Soul Rune. Runemastery provides 0.5% increased damage from all runes per point.
3) Intelligence A Sorcerer's Main ability to stay alive comes from the use of Mana shield, allowing you to absorb damage from mana before health. Intelligence increases your maximum mana by 0.25% per point, which scales very well with regeneration sources that provide x% of mana per second (ie Ocean Gems 0.1-0.3% mana regenerated per second).
4) Restoration Mana restoration spells like Evocation are effected by Restoration, in addition to traditional healing spells. Restoration will also increase healing you receive from other players' spells, socketed gems that provide regen, and your rune emblems.Each point of restoration provides 0.5% health/mana received from all sources of healing.
5) Precision Increases your chance of dealing a crit with all spells and attacks by 0.25% per point.
6) Focus Increases damage dealt with wants by 0.4% per point.
7) Haste Increases your attack speed with wands/staves by 0.12% per point.

Suggested stat distributions for focusing on Survivability:

Specializations can be unlocked after obtaining the three Promotions and Awakening.

The Pyromancer focuses on harnessing the power of destructive flames to deal massive damage over a large area.

Thunderlord
The Thunderlord is the master of harnessing electricity, able to deal immense damage to a single target while still having respectable AoE damage, and access to a powerful defensive spell.
